However unlike the typical streotypes of materialism, toxic masculinity, and explicit lyrical content in the portrayed media, Jamal saw much more to a hip-hop lifestyle than approached in the mainstream.
Jamal Unawa is a award winning black journalist on a mission shine a spotlight onto the incredible stories, and lives of those living a hip-hop lifestyle and highlight the incredible arts and culture surrounding the movement through a unique lens.
